April Fools?! But it wasn't April yet..

The second day applications came out I applied! I had my phone interview January 26th. My interview went great! I was feeling pretty good, she told me multiple times that I rocked the questions; which made me feel pretty good. A week later February 2nd I received rehire paperwork, I'm pretty sure we were the first batch to receive the packet. Filling out that packet was soo hard, I wanted everything to sound perfect and genuine, so it took me a while and with a lot of help from a friend (who has worked with Disney for 3 years now) I finally got it to where I thought it was good enough to fax in. 


I waited for four weeks before I decided to call, within these four weeks a few of my friends that were also restricted/ no rehire had received pending letters, and I had not so I called, and they said that a decision had been made and I should be receiving something in the mail by the end of the week. Blah. That was the longest week ever! So Friday rolls around and I go get the mail. its a small envelope... so i'm thinking to myself its okay, you knew this could happen. When I opened the envelope it said "I'm sorry to inform you that you have not been selected to participate in the summer alumni program."


WHAT!  
This is not what I applied for. So I called Disney recruiting and talked to someone and she said that I had been put in one system for summer alumni and another for fall advantage. hmm..... strange, so she did some research and figured it out and fixed it! so now i'm back to waiting. yuck. 


A couple weeks goes by and my bff Rob called and was told he was accepted so I called and my application was still pending.. cool. Finally I give up and lose all hope and then it's spring break time.. Still haven't heard from Disney and am spending a looong week in Disney.


While I was gone I asked my mom to call me and tell me if I got anything. So Monday rolls around and I get a call from my mom while drinking around the world in Epcot. "Is it a small one or a big one?" "Its a small one, do you want me to open it and read it to you"  "yes please"  The letter read "We want to thank you for your interest in the Disney College Program, we just want to let you know that your application is still pending. If you don't hear anything by April 30th please call" This was my first pending letter in 8 weeks. So  Wednesday (St. Patrick's Day) was another drinking around the world in Epcot... That night during Test Track I get an email on my phone. All i can see is Disney...Your Invitation!!!!!!


I was accepted into Fall Advantage as a QSFB cast member! And I'll be checking in June 7th!
